Past and Present: In Appreciation
Mosaic Mural
2016
This mosaic mural metaphorically represents a post card. It is a way of sending a message of thanks for all the caring work the Mennonite community of East York does to help the older adult residents of the St. Clair O'Connor Community Inc. live a meaningful and safe life in their new home.
In conjunction with the SCOC, twenty-three Art and Art History Program student artists in the Past and Present Techniques class created the In Appreciation mosaic mural as a wish of good health and happiness to the residents in the centre. The students were led by Sheridan College Professor Carmelo Arnoldin and Program Technologist John McCartney.
